Roper Whitney No. 99 letter forming brake, a small bench brake with slotted jaws and apron made for bending sheet metal that already has formed flanges or seams. It forms the returns and drum on metal channel letters and handles straight bends up to 12" wide in mild steel up to 20 gauge. The slotted nose lets a partly formed letter pass through for the next bend. Supplied as a unit. Designed for channel-letter fabrication.
